We had a great turnout for our Fall Picnic, despite the rather unseasonable weather! But hey its Buffalo!! Meanwhile, everyone's looking forward to our final club event for the year, our annual Pre-Holiday party on Saturday November 10 at 6:00PM Want to know more?  Read all about it in the October newsletter.

The 2018 ITC Silver Anniversary convention was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who participated to help make it a fun week for our visitors!

After more than 16 months of planning, the ITC Silver Anniversary Convention is finally, almost, here!  Club members and the whole convention committee remain hard at work with the final details, but rest assured we have a fun-filled week of activities on tap!

Tuesday 8/7 7PM Welcome Reception “Taste of Buffalo” buffet   Special guest, Lauren Fix - “The Car Coach”.

Wednesday 8/8 9AM Motor coach The Buffalo Transportation Pierce Arrow Museum for a personal tour of the collection, hosted by museum co-founder Jim Sandoro. Lunch at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, followed by a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House complex in the Parkside neighborhood.

Wednesday 8/8 6PM Thunderbird Olympics

Thursday, 8/9 9AM - Motor coach tour to Niagara Falls, NY for a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist.  Lunch will be served at Top of the Falls Restaurant famous for its panoramic waterfall views.  After, there will be time to explore Terrapin Point and other Falls attractions.  

Friday 8/10 9AM Judges / Car Owners / General Concours Meeting, 10AM Annual ITC Membership Meeting, 1PM  FREE Seminar by Steve Legel, Ford Expert and Author.

Friday 8/10 3:30PM Motor coach to private charter cruise on the Harbor Queen for a historical tour of the Buffalo River and waterfront, followed by a shipboard dinner aboard the historic WWII Navy ship USS Little Rock.

Saturday 8/11 9AM All T-Bird Concours Show with judging to commence at 10:30AM at the Hyatt Place Amherst/Buffalo.

Saturday 8/11 6PM Awards Banquet at the Protocol Restaurant. For those requiring transportation  motor coach will depart the hotel at 5:45PM. 

Sunday 8/12 will be breakfast and farewells. Feel free to stop by and wish our guests safe travels home.

We are coming down the home stretch with final arrangements for the Silver Anniversary ITC convention, now just right around the corner. We do have some non-convention activities planned, starting with the Rally with the Racers car show in Fairport NY on Saturday June 23, the first over-night stop on this year's Great Race. If you are in the area, look for our club canopy and stop by and say "Hi"! 

Our next club meeting will be held Saturday July 7 at our old standby, Bills Gray's Clarence 8214 Main St just east of Transit Rd. This will be our last meeting prior to the convention so we hope to have a big turnout.

And mark your calendar now for our next club meeting, Saturday June 2. We’ll meet up at 12noon in Medina NY at Fitzgibbons Public House 429 Main Street for lunch and business meeting, then we’ll head over to the  Medina Railroad Museum  located at 530 West Avenue just 3 blocks from the restaurant. Happy St Paddy's Day To All! Spring is right around the corner and some club members got a chance to take in one of our area's best indoor shows last week at the Cavalcade of Cars at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Event Center. This custom 1955 T'Bird greeted all attendees at the front entrance!

And don't forget to check this month's  Newsletter  for all the latest news about the ITC convention and also an interesting article about the differences between our local car show judging and ITC standards for the Concours show at the convention. It's a must read for anyone planning to enter a car in the show so take a look!

Here are some of the special guests we have lined up for the convention:
The Car Coach, Lauren Fix, will be our guest speaker at the Welcome Reception on Tuesday August 7th. Ms Fix is an award-winning author, educator and TV personality as well as a certified ASE technician.
Dr. Steve Legel, the "Still Plays With Cars" author and T-Bird expert, will provide attendees with his unique insights and views on the car collecting hobby, served up with lots of laughs!
Hemmings Motor News is sending representative Richard Lentinello to interview convention attendees and take photographs for a possible future article.



Brent Money, owner of Larry's Thunderbird and Mustang Parts, will be joining convention activities while visiting the area from Corona, California.
Buffalo Music Hall of Fame honoree, Theresa Quinn and her band will entertain at the Awards Banquet on Saturday August 11 at the Protocol banquet hall.

Thanks to the efforts of 2018 ITC Convention Co-Chairmen Tom Hueston and Todd Ruth, and the entire convention committee, the venue agenda for the Silver Anniversary Convention has been finalized! From the Tuesday evening Welcome Reception, through the Saturday evening Awards Banquet to the Sunday morning Farewells, the week is chock full of activities that will be enjoyed by all conventioneers, especially those visiting from out-of-town.
